Joins
A "join" is where two pieces of stone meet.
When making kitchen benchtops:
  • We always try to avoid or reduce the number of joins.
  • We always try to make the joins less noticeable.
  • We always try to match the colour and pattern.
  • We use an epoxy to glue and seal the join.
  • The epoxy is coloured to blend with the stone.
  • Typically, the best locations for joins are at the four corners of a topmount sink or hobb because it keeps the joins short and the sink or hobb detracts from the join.
Stones that are very consistent in grain can disguise a join better than stones with much movement having a distinct direction to their pattern.
